Project Background

Then, according to the results of the Environmental Attitude and Knowledge Scale applied by our guidance teacher to our teachers and students;
- 58% take responsibility for keeping and protecting their classroom, school and environment clean.
- 29% produce alternatives to protect the school and its environment.
- 73% of them use technological products without harming themselves, others and nature.
- 59% of them consume natural resources consciously.
Our solution team, which was established to improve these results, discovered the Erasmus project results platform and Erasmus+ opportunities on the website of our national agency while examining environment-oriented projects. We decided to write a KA122-SCH project on environmental sustainability, which includes the interest of our teachers in art and our students' interest in digital elements.

Project Objectives

With our digital and artistic project, our internal and external stakeholders; Identify key global environmental problems To understand that all living and non-living beings in nature are in interaction with each other. To realize that the continuity of the natural balance is ensured by the order in the matter cycles. Comparing production and consumption activities with natural cycles Realizing that the harm done to nature will return to them, they should fulfill their individual responsibilities. To understand the impact of production and consumption activities on the emergence of environmental problems. Calculate the ecological footprint and interpret its impact on natural resource consumption. Knowing that the resources in the world are limited, they need to be aware of the need to use resources sparingly. Using environmentally friendly consumables To produce environmentally friendly solutions We want them to apply the concepts of recycling and recovery in daily life.

Implementation

1.In the education named Environment and Ecology in the Digital Age in Mobility; presentation of sustainability in a smart and environmentally friendly classroom at school, training methodologies for sustainable development, field studies, matter cycle mind map, role of digital platforms, ecological application of technology, environmental skills through digital games, in augmented reality workshop material production, wildlife observation, project-based ecosystem group studies, finding green by coding activities'll be implemented.
2. In the education named Ecological Art in Mobility; understanding climate change and other global challenges, European Union environmental policies, art-environment relationship, recycling and reuse,attention-oriented group practices, seed storage and reproduction, drama studies, following the ecological footprint, sand sculpture making, field practices, education policies, turtle hospital visit, the effect of plastic, tree planting activities will be done.

Results

Our students, teachers and parents; The relationship between living things, the natural balance, the impact of man on nature, the importance of material cycles for life, the effects of production and consumption activities, reducing waste production, recycling, calculating ecological footprint, taking responsibility for environmental measures, producing projects and including They will learn how to be, how to use natural resources efficiently, and sustainable development. Like this; -The electricity and water consumption of our school will decrease by 20% in our first year and 15% in our second year. -The rate of our students and teachers taking responsibility for keeping and protecting their classroom, school and environment will increase from 58% to 70% in our first year and 80% in our second year. -The rate of our students and teachers to produce alternatives to protect the school and its environment will increase from 29% to 45% in our first year and 55% in our second year.
